On this day, the Seventeenth day of August, in the year of our Lord, Eighteen-Hundred-And-Nought, our gracious ruler for Thirty-Four years, King Christian VII has passed away. At the ripe age of Fifty-One, his life ended peacefully in his sleep. The Rigstraadet has announced a national day of mourning on the Twenty-Fourth of August, in accordance with His Royal Highness' funeral proceedings, and the crowning of his Gracious heir, Prince Frederick VI. Ruling as regent in the latter years of Christian VII's life, Prince Frederick VI shall be announced King of Scandinavia and The Danelaw on this date, one week from today.

All members of Scandinavian and Danelaw nobility are invited to the funeral proceedings, by order of Prince Frederick VI. National Newspapers shall release copies detailing the funeral proceedings one day after the event, free of charge to the public.
