Crusade for Anatolia!
For far too long, the great bulwarks against the Muslims have lain defeated. The Turk instead reigns from one of the greatest cities of the Christian world. With the blessing of the Papacy, the Pact of Eagles has struck a mighty blow against the enemies of the one true faith in a glorious Crusade for Anatolia.
Already the Turkish armies have surrendered and their major population centers have been reclaimed. All those willing to embrace the light of God have been released from captivity -- minus their weapons, of course -- and the rest shall be treated honorably as befits their station. Generalissimo Azad Çakmak is a guest of the Francian and Ruthenian armies. For the continued protection of Christianity, the formerly Turkish cities shall be divided among the Pact.
Deus Vult!

The Empress is surprised by this turn of events. The Holy See, supposedly of their own accord, attacks Anatolia whilst Rome languishes in decay under barbarians?

How are we to conquer Rome, if no man lives there? Do you expect us to declare war on fields and trees?

Considering the turks are currently secular in their beliefs, they arent these muslim barbarians you speak of. I do believe the leader is a christian in fact..

This is the same nation that has opposed the Christian world for centuries. Have the Agamemnodides forgotten the sack of Constantinople?
Re: Crusade for Anatolia!
The current emperor is christian. And these are not the ottomans. Your casus belli is completely wrong, and is a blatant land grab. We hope the other nations of the world will see your alliance's blatant power grab.

We would like to input that this is not the same nation that sacked Constantinople. Do you not know about the overthrow of the sultanate and the Ankara revolution?

It seems to us that a crusade ought to be for the glory of the Lord Allfather, instead of the interests of the conquerors. How is it that you justify annexing these cities and placing them under your own rule?

They are under temporary occupation. And will remain so while the war continues

It is understandable that a heretic nation would not understand the intricacies of such a thing. By placing these cities temporarily under the rule of strong nations until terms of peace can be decided upon, we ensure that there will be no further conflict.

You dare insult our faith, Frank? You dare denounce us as heretics?
We advise that you watch your tongue. We are a forgiving and merry people, but some things are simply not uttered. We demand an apology for that affront.

It is well-known that the practitioners of the Insular Faith have long been excommunicated from the Church. As such, yes, you are a heretic nation. This is not meant as an insult, but rather as fact.
Re: Crusade for Anatolia!
You seem to believe that we wish to be considered followers of your pet bishop. This insult will not be forgotten, Frank.
