The Lewis and Clark Expedition Empty The Lewis and Clark Expedition

Post by DeltaV Wed Sep 23, 2015 8:15 pm

Recently, a large expedition funded by the American Free States was sent out to travel the waters of the Mississippi River to map out the area and find the western coast of the North American continent. Led by the intrepid Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, this party of explorers explored the river to its origin and then proceeded along the Columbia River before finally sighting the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Now the expedition has returned to the Free States with their tales.

Even more interestingly, a large and reasonably civilized nation of natives has been made contact with in the Cascades. Though this "Cascadian Confederacy" falls technically between the claims laid out recently of the Huron and the Free States, they have been encouraged to send an envoy to Philadelphia for the purpose of diplomacy and communication with the other civilized peoples of the continent.
