The American Doctrine

Post by DeltaV on Sun Sep 20, 2015 1:52 pm

Let it be forever known from this day forth, proposed by President-for-Life Alexander Hamilton and ratified by both the Upper and Lower Congresses, that the continents of the Americas shall be freed in this new age from the meddling of European powers, that all the peoples -- indigenous or otherwise -- who have a right to these great lands shall be allowed to remain and prosper therein.

As such, any attempts by non-American powers to intrude on either continent shall be considered an act of war against the American Free States, and dealt with swiftly in accord to this doctrine. We encourage the other nations of the Americas to join us in protecting the manifest destinies of those who have come to call the Americas their home. In exchange for compliance any existing colonies of European powers in North or South America shall be allowed to remain and to prosper, and the American Free States hereby swear not to interfere in the politics of Europe provided that the politics of Europe do not interfere with the Americas.

Ser Corliss Penny gave the clan chief an incredulous look. "Do you want to die, Wull?"

That seemed to amuse the northman. "I want to live forever in a land where summer lasts a thousand years. I want a castle in the clouds where I can look down over the world. I want to be six-and-twenty again. When I was six-and-twenty I could fight all day and fuck all night. What men want does not matter.

"Winter is almost upon us, boy. And winter is death. I would sooner my men die fighting for the Ned's little girl than alone and hungry in the snow, weeping tears that freeze upon their cheeks. No one sings songs of men who die like that. As for me, I am old. This will be my last winter. Let me bathe in Bolton blood before I die. I want to feel it spatter across my face when my axe bites deep into a Bolton skull. I want to lick it off my lips and die with the taste of it on my tongue."

The Polish Lithuanian Government and Cesarz Jan Kasimir Piast II has decided that this new development is a complete threat to Polish Lithuanian Colonial Interests in the Americas. Hereby, we will withdraw our claims in Southern America but will not retract our claim on Newfoundland.

We believe that this is a great step in the right direction for all the Americas. May the American Free States prosper for all time.
