The Department of Defence announced today a total reformation of the military is taking place, confirming the latest rumors. It has been announced that Segerline is moving from a defence based military towards a intervention based military. The Department of Defence means that with allies and smaller nations under Segerlinen protection being so far away from Segerline, it only makes sense to be able to strike anywhere at anytime in the globe with short notice. This military build up have been divided up into several different categories:

The Unionsmarine:

The Unionsmarine will be the biggest target of military build up. Sailor can expect almost constant deployment overseas except for the brown water navy. Many new classified but high tech vessels is according to military officials on the drawing board, hinting at top modern carriers, but also destroyers and submarines and a new generation of the vampire and ASBR-05 missiles. The navy will deployed all across the globe to be able to react to military agression against Segerlinen allies as quick as possible.

The Unionswehr and Heimwehr:

The land based armed forces of Segerline is also undergoing reform, where the former unionswehr will be reformed into specialised forces of Segerline while the Heimwehr will become regular forces. The Department of Defence has hinted at deployments to military bases in Southern Oxuythar, Terripana and Kahlawia in the very near future.

Today is a great day for our beloved Federal Republic! After much hard work, the Unionsmarine has finally finnished construction of two top modern attack submarines that are said to be the best attack submarines in the world. However much of these submarines are highly classified, what is revealed is that they carry more Vampire cruise missiles than any other submarine in the world and are powered by a nuclear reactor, making it so that they never need to surface. The submarines will be soon deployed over seas to enforce the Segerlinen globalstrike doctrine which the Abwhermakt is currently trying to implement, where Segerline will be able to aid its friends or attack its enemies at any time anywhere in the world. Where these submarines are deployed is however currently highly classified.

Today the military high command announced a build up of military presence in Terripana. Many armoured vehicles, aircraft, artilery and AA batteries are sent to Terripana together with FMK soldiers to aid the garrison on Terripana. Mj.General Kürschten calls Terripana quote "A unsinkable aircraft carrier that will be used to defend the Terripanan people from foreign agression but also to stage Segerlinen rapid response troops to aid its allies in the region." The Coastal Artilery Regiment has also set up Vampire batteries on Terripana to be used against foreign military ships that seek to invade Terripana or be used to aid Segerlinen ships in the region.

The Terripanan can now feel much safer as the defence capabilities of the island has increased tremendously.

We do not see why such an arsenal is needed, as the island is hardly in danger of attack.

It is a station for the allies in the region aswell. From Terripana we can quickly assist Fisnavavaada and Kahlawia without needing to mobilize, making Segerlinen response almost instantanious.

Today the worlds first commercial nuclear powerplants has ope ned around cities in Segerline and has now replaced the gas and coal based powergrid of Segerline. Cities such as Faktorien known for its highly poluting chemical industries now sees a glimmer of hope through its smog filled sky.

Through all tv stations and radio stations the daily news are broadcasted.

"Greetings citizens of Segerline. Today it was revealed that a major part of the Segerlinen airforce together with bomber groups and interceptors have been dispatched to Southern Oxuythar for reasons unknown. Four Destroyers and a Light Cruiser has also set sail for southern Oxuythar. Our great leader has promised to adress these deployments in the near future.

Half the paratroopers in Terripana together with one armoured batallion and their armoured vehicles are currently being sent to Oxuythar for reasons classified. We have not reached the chairman, defence minister or any general for any comments regarding this incident."

"Latest news are that the troops moving to Oxuythar have apperently been a case of missinformation. We have recieved reports that infantry fighting vehicles and tanks are sent there but not with its crew. The paratroopers and crew are gonna reach Faktorien later today."

Today the Head Admiral Küchler announced that after this focus on the airforce and army, the navy has now been put in the spot light of the Nationale Volksarmee. NVA engineers and scientists has stated that the Deassic-Class Heavy Cruiser will be the most modern warship in the Segerlinen navy. While much is currently classified, military officials has mentioned that these new ships will have new offensive capabilities and defensive capabilities that will not just defend the ship itself but all ships in the surrounding area from external threats. Military officials also mentioned that the navy will not just stop there, but will implement these new systems in destroyers, light cruisers, missile cruisers and aircraft carriers aswell, and that these new modern ships will become part of the newly formed Hochseeflotte which will be the primary fleet for foreign deployments.

Today is a proud day for our beloved Federation. Moments ago the FSS Deassic was commisioned from the Faktorien Naval Shipyard.

The FSS Deassic shows the very latest in naval and defence technology. Carrying a weapons platform that military officials has only described in a dumbed down version as a hivemind between ships where they can transmit data between their weapons systems to the rest of the taskforce. Making them capable to track and destroy incomming cruise missiles with their latest defence weapons. It is currently considered the flagship of the Volksmarine, with its awesome firepower and defences. With upgrades to it being already designed as we speak to make it even more of a killing machine. This is a day where we can easily say that we are proud to be born in Segerline.

Today with much fanfare, Grand Admiral Küchler formally declared the Hochseeflotte opened, The Volksmarine who had only been confined to smaller ships, was now ready to battle the open seas permanentally. It is announced that it will immedietly start patrolling its designated routes of the Deassic and Northern Ocean to help enforce the Segerlinen global strike doctrine. Many new defence systems and attack systems has been implemented into this fleet making it the most lethal fleet in the Volksmarine.
