Sanctuary.
Ever since the war we have spent most of our resources and time to advance scientifically. We believe are know in the position to reopen our space program. We are now starting up Project Sanctuary, what is this you say? We are going to explore the possibilities of starting colonies both near and far away from Kerbin. This will take place in 3 main stages.

Project Igloo
This will happen parallel with the rest of the program, to goal is to build a simulated and self sufficient colony on one of the poles.

Project Curiosity
After we develop our advanced rocket we have been planning: NGR (Nest Gen Rocket) we will send a probe to fly by all of the Joolian moons.

Project Sentinel
After that we will send a relatively large ship with a lot of small scientific drones, each to orbit one of the moons for even more scientific data.

Project Templar
After checking for any good landing spots we send another ship with a drone for each moon, however this time they land. For a more in depth research of its surface and possible atmosphere.

As we already have a unmanned landing on the mun we won't explore that further at the moment. After all this we will decide a place to pioneer a colony on.

We are willing to take donations towards this program, and we if we get enough funds we will both be able to accelerate this Project but also share the data we collect with everyone.

The CICS is willing to help. We have the production capacity to build nearly anything.

Narcona can pitch in. Where are the hypothetical areas to settle and where is the relative distance to Kerbin?

You do realize that the joolian system is bound to have incredibly much radiation? Any manned settlement or trip there would be a short but painful one. Let alone living there.

That is why we are sending these probes, to see if there is a way. We do not know a lot about the Joolean system yet.

The NGR Rocket featuring the latest technology is a launcher ment to carry medium weighted payloads long distances. It's relatively small and very efficient. The groundbreaking feature however is the amazing first stage. The first stage consists of 8 RAPIER hybrid engines. The first stage is also completely reusable. Here is how a normal launch should go:

Gaining altitude and speed with first stage until about 15-20 kilometers up then switch to rocket mode and achieve orbit. Second stage is detached and first stage de-orbits and lands using the fuel left + the four parachutes and landing gear.

It comes in 2 versions: A and B. B is the one above but with T-30 Rocket engines instead of T-N Engines.

An ambitious rocket, we have to say. Have the nuclear engines been tested? Also, caution suggests to launch a mockup upper stage. No one wants to put dangerous fissile material on an untested and potentially bound to failure rocket.

We are confident in our design, but we can agree to test the nuclear engines before our first mission.
