Ayu - State Religion
A religion depicting the ideal way to live out one's life, focusing on the aspects of loyalty, family, and connections to Kerbin and Rikuto and has often been referred to as the way of the warrior's spirit and is highly honoured and respected by the citizens of Rikuto.
One's commitment to these aspects are then judged by the goddess Ayu who determines one's ascension to the stars and earn a place among Ayu's presence. The Emperor is considered to be a direct decedent of Ayu and is given the role to enforce such ideals over Rikuto.
History:
Undergoing centuries of warfare, Rikuto has an extensive military tradition. Rikuto began as a collection of warring states who only shared a common language. While an emperor was declared, in reality, the emperor holds no political power and is often used a figurehead for warlord's to justify their rule. The class system retains the power to the military and the warrior remains at the peak of the
social class. Rikuto was unified under the epic campaigns of Ichirou Yuudai who unified the country under one banner through force and diplomacy proclaiming the Rikuto Yuudai
Shogunate.
The 'New-Wind' movement emerged as the world's ideas began to spread to Rikuto, consisting of new-aged thinkers who wanted to liberalize the country by rehauling the social
system and removing the power from the military. This was fierecely resisted by the Yuudai Shogunate, brewing into a full-blown civil war. Desperate to retain power as the
civil war begins to be a popular uprising, the Yuudai Shogunate allowed some reforms in the economy and especially the military. Equipping themselves with foreign equipment
and expertise, the more experienced Rikuto Retainer army began to win the upperhand and end the war. The war resulted in thousands dead, but the initial reforms eventually
allowed Rikuto to begin modernization. At the expense of losing the Towada to foreigners who took advantage of the civil war to seize territory.

The Democratic Republic of Segerline wish to open an embassy in your lands and also wish that we could start a trade agreement. It would be a good first step towards a friendly and prosoerous relationship between our two nations.

We would not encourage any relations with these warmongers. They claim ownership of the island the Narconan People fought hard for nigh a hundred years ago. We are willing to put this behind us, but cannot when such a blantant threat of invasion is on our hands.

We will have to turn down this request. We have other affairs to attend to. Our apologies.
Embassy requests have been accepted, standard restrictions apply as lots are allocated to countries to construct their embassies.

We have only received one payment of 20MK. Our shogun expects 80MK in total, and thus the amount comes to 60MK.
