Kutan/Njegosljan Rocket Launches

Post by Crichton on Sat Jan 03, 2015 1:39 am

Kutan and Njegosljan scientists today took their first steps in understanding the world outside our atmosphere, with the first test launch of the Munya vehicle, successfully reaching the edge of space.
In a sterling show of inter-empire cooperation, the test vehicle (designated Munya 0010), built in the Kutan heartland, was fitted with a Njegosljan test payload and launched from Njegosljan soil. Preparations are underway for another joint flight, this time aiming to place an object into orbit.

The joint space program took it's second major step today, with the launch of the Njegosljan-built TS-2 test payload into kerbin orbit, using the Munya 0011 booster. TS-2 is expected to return data on the plasma environment near our planet for several weeks, until it's batteries run dry. It is in a 100*300km orbit, at an inclination of about two degrees.

This morning a new historical launch took place from Lumin Island Launch Site. The first fully Njegošljan-built Munya lifter, in the 0111 configuration, blastef off to the skies, carrying with him two probes, KS-1 and -2. Those two probes, delivered to the unprecedented orbital height of 2868 km, will function as fixed communication points for future space missions an for intercontinental communication experiments.

The first launch from the Cera launchsite has taken place, with the placing of the Član Jedan-I payload into a near-polar orbit. CJ-1 will monitor changes in the ionosphere, both natural and induced, as well as support national security objectives.

Njegosljan moon probe

Post by borisperrons on Sat Jan 10, 2015 2:14 pm

The first Mun-bound probe, the Lunarni Sonda-1, lifted off today atop a Munya 0101 and imaged the dark side of the satellite for the first time ever. The probe then continued his voysge, thanks to the gravitational effect of the Mun, and entered interplanetary space.

The KAoS has successfully carried out the first test of the Unija crew capsule, with an uncrewed test designated ČJ-1. The capsule, launched from the Liman, reached 99km in altitude before safely 'splashing down' in the Deassic ocean, from whence it was retrieved by the Njegosljan ship Okeanski. Preparations are now underway for a crewed flight.

The Njegošljan Ministry of Sciences has sponsorized another Mun probe, this time to bring the Imperial flags on the very surface of our satellite.
The Lunarni Sonda-2 (in fact 4 impactor probes on a single bus) became the first object to reach another celestial body. Every probe carried camera and instrumentations, and returned precious data on the surface composition of our bigger space neighbour.
