Hyobu-sho (Ministry of the Military)

The Ministry of the Military is the organ of the Daijo-kan responsible for the recruitement and equipment of the Imperial Japanese Army, weapon-making in the Empire, building and maintenance of fortifications and military installations and dispatchement of troops.

The Minister is appointed by the Tenno at his discretion, while still consulting with his counselors.
