RSE-SATRI First Kerbonaught Safely In Orbit!
SATRI Announces successful orbit of the Aatala orbiter atop the new Crimson Lancer booster. "Rocket" Roger Kermin is on a mission using 28 of 30 days life support supplies in the return capsule of the orbiter, balaced so that his time in the Upper Stage Satellite (USS) portion of the orbiter does not draw down the onboard consumables while he does a wide variety of tasks.
Rocket Roger will be doing "shakedown" evaluation of all systems while taking kilometers of film steroscopic film footage in UV, IR and visible wavelengths. The contributions to science will be immense and select geophysical research files will be shared internationally. Advanced communications systems and even experimental networking protocols running on next generation hardware will be tested. There is even optical and radio astronomy to be done.
Roger reports that getting the "beauty shots" for whole craft inspection would have been easier with a full EVA. Apparently a camera on a thether took three rolls of mini-film. EVA transfer to the capsule was flawless, however, despite the limited confodence of ground crews. It turns out Roger is a real adventurer!

Re: RSE-SATRI First Kerbonaught Safely In Orbit!
MISSION UPDATE - Testing the high capacity communications array aboard the Aatala One Rocket Roger has wowed school children across the Empire and even the world. His broadcasts today of doing everyday tasks like eating and drinking in micro-gravity amazed many adults too. Though SATRI has long possesed this data thanks to ASDI partners this is the first high-fi video recording of these fascinating events to be made public.
Some photos - electronic scans of negatives - have also been beamed down, though the resolution is not going to be as good as when the film returned to Kerbin produces images. Even at this resolution the value to science has been immediate. Geophysical survey, land resources management, oceanography and fisheries and mining concerns have been pouring over the data.
You have our Thanks Rocket Roger!

Rocket Roger splashes down!
With a flawless de-orbit burn and an exciting reentry through the atmosphere our brave Kerbonaught is home. Picked up by the ISS Indigo Day Roger returns with kilometers of brilliant space photography.
Roger said to.the press "It really is amazing being up there. The atmosphere at dawn was my favorite because the dark of night showed it as a thin radiant band. All life on our planet is in that thin band. It makes you feel very humble because that's all you knew until seeing it from up there.
OOC more coming, including album for proof
