Major Terror Attack in Oxuythar

It is early afternoon in the financial district of Devizes, Oxuythar. The businesskerbs are busy at work, generating the profits of the national corporations, as well as satisfying their thirst for personal income. The National Bank is also bustling with people: from the small sole-traders cashing in a cheque, to the CEOs of large, wealthy businesses confirming multi-million kerbit deals, everybody is oblivious to what will come next.

A van pulls up outside of the bank, as does another outside of the corporate towers. The passengers exit, armed to the teeth with assault rifles and sub-machine guns, as well as plenty of ammunition. Two police officers in a patrol car nearby get out to inspect - they meet a sudden death. As the shots ring out, and the bodies of the law enforcers hit the ground, panic ensues. The murderers then turn their guns onto the public, massacring the fleeing crowds by the dozens. The assailants split off into separate groups, one heading for the bank, the other entering the tower blocks. A civilian behind the bank counter hits the alarm button before being gunned down. As the criminals continue their massacre, multiple trucks begin to park in the streets and around the targeted buildings. Police Fast-Respondents arrive at the scene, preparing themselves for contact. As they begin to breach the buildings, more gunshots are heard - unknown to the officers, the gunmen have fired their last rounds. More police arrive at the scene. They pour into the buildings - some are horrified by what they see. The floors are laden in blood and bodily fluids. A legless corpse, presumably attempting to escape grasps at an officers leg for help. Medical units cannot arrive however - the area is still dangerous. As the armed teams clear the floors, they finally find who they were looking for. All gunmen are dead - shot with their own weapons. The paramedics are finally given the all clear. The wounded and dead begin to be transported out of the area - on the body of a gunman is a small red and black flower - it is sent to the investigation teams. Suddenly, as one last fatal strike, multiple explosions occur from the parked lorries, annihilating the area. Dozens more are killed - even more are seriously injured. The attack is over. Hundreds of lives have been lost.

The last lights of the day have just disappeared over the Veiid, when three dark grey cargo planes, flying belly on the ocean make their way south. Flying undetected or ignored by some specific radio operators, they enter the Oxuytharan airspace, sending a crypted codeword. shortly after they are joined by a number of fighters, that escort them to Devizes airport.

Landing on a deserted airstrip, the three planes start unloading a number of jeeps, loaded with armed kerbs with a menacing look on they faces. The vehicles depart the place, directed to several locations. The bigger convoy heads for the Royal Palace, while the other jeeps are bound for some specific houses. The roads are strangely empty from military personnel, after the events of the day. The police force present, already overhelmed by the calls, pay little attention to the vehicles, taking them for the Oxuytharan army finally shoving up, and the few that try to stop them are met with some suffocated shots and a good share of lead in their bodies.

Arriving at the Royal Palace, the convoy halts at the entrance. The guards, relieved by the arrival of the reinforcements, have little time tho surprise before the silenced SMGs, before falling dead on the ground. The armed kerbs then make their way to the royal apartements, silencing every opposition they found in the same way.
King Dawool IV, hearing the rumor of people ouside his door, opens it, only to be met by a wall of lead that almost cut him down. The same fate is reserved to his wife and his heir.
After clearing the rest of the palace, the kerbs make their way back to the jeeps, carrying some wounded and the body of one of them, killed by a burst from one of the guards rifles, and then heading back to the airport.

In the city, meanwhile, the other kerbs of the commando pay visit to several houses, that happen to be inhabited by Oxuytharan politicians. This part of the operation is less flawless: in some occasions, the kerbs have to chase some of the objectives, sometimes involving other people in the fight. In one case, a party leaving an house finds itself in the middle of a clash between the police and demostrators, that they are quick to quell with the sapient use of SMG fire and grenades. All after all, the operation is a success: almost all of the objectives are neutralized, with a number of them avoiding detection. By some strange twist of fate, the great part of them are known for their extremely views towars a certain recently turned democracy nation in the north, that is still mourning the loss of its emperor.

After all the jeeps are back to the airport, the kerbs set them afire, and then board their planes, leaving towards the northeast, again escorted by the same fighters. Unknown to the majority of them, apart from the commanding officers, next to the burning jeeps lies a series of carefully half burned but still readable documents.

When Prime Minister Elwood Larin hears of this news, he takes an emergency pistol that had been stored in his hotel, as he was touring the nation, and primes the sidearm of the Oxuytharan military. He then pulls his hands up to his head, as if he was doing a pat-down, and shoots himself in the head. On a note written prior to his suicide, he wrote: This marks the end of the Kingdom of Oxuythar, and the beginning of the third Oxuytharan civil war. This...is the end...
