Current RP Date

Just as an informal notice, this thread will be edited daily to reflect the RP date of that time.

The technological date is pretty useless, if you spent all the RP doing no research, you're still at starting level. It's not like everyone is at 1970s tech level.

Just my 0.02$.

The technological year is for less important things, but are however useful for events, etc.

I recommend adjusting the tech date to the late 70s.

Why early 80s?

Because it's about time we progressed.

Why? This way people that never did something can come out saying "now I want to equip my troops with gauss guns" and have it out of the blue, while someone else was denied some other systems because too modern.

If we really really need to have an IRL temporal counterpart, why not have it as s cultural time?

You should put the RL date of the current RP date, so people can do the math themselves in case you go AWOL for quite a lot of time

As of today there shall no longer be "years". Only cycles and days shall be kept. This makes it much simpler to calculate dates and understand what cycle it currently is.

Yuri, are you sure that that date is correct? if rp started in 215.0, now shouldn't we be in 215.5?

We stopped using separate years and cycles because they both made no sense and were pointless.
