World Championship of Kerbin

The early evening sun was laying over the busy commercial city and capital of Bardemanstadt. Countless of supporters carrying different flags and with painted faces eagerly cheer, presumably having had a cup of beer or two too much. As some of the supporters walk into the busy shopping districts, you could see a shop clerk or two trying to eagerly sell "top quality Segerlinen souverneirs", usually made from cheep materials that easily broke.

Just south of the Bardemanstadt island lay the stadium, just by coast near the Freiheit bridge. It was a massive sight to behold and any real sports fan would stand in awe to see the world largest sports stadium. The stadium was a oval with something that resembled some kind of ancient lighthouse made by stone in the middle. Running parallel to it was ten flagpoles for each contesting nation. Inside this stadium you could also see what only could be doors and cages for what could only be the gladiator games, you could also see tracks for the athletes to run and possibly make new world records in, there was even a swimnig pool in there!

Surrounding the sports fields was massive grand stands the size of a several story building, capable of holding countless of supporters. And as the sun began to set more and more supporters entered the stadium, everyone eager to see the world largest sports event in history. As the stadium had been filled to maximum capacity the opening ceremony could begin!

The ceremony was a spectacle with traditional Segerlinen dance featuring the entire history of Segerline in a form of musical filled with much traditional and patriotic Segerlinen music. After that it was time for second act in the opening ceremony, spotlights lit up a set of ropes stretching from the highest point of the stadium to the light house. Out came a kerbal holding a torch walking on this rope with much concentration and his hands stretch out in both directions. He makes his way to the light house, and makes it inside the top part of the light house where the beacon is usually located. The spotlight immedietly focus on him again as he lights a big torch inside the lighthouse lumminating the entire stadium. The spotlight is turned off and the spectators all cheer a ear deafening cheer.

In to the stadium comes ten pairs of two all dressed in traditional costumes of each respective participating country and they all line up at each flagpole. The first pair is carrying the traditional Segerline costume and starts to raise the Segerlinen flag on the most eastern flagpole. As it reaches the top fireworks in the colour of the Segerlinen flag lights the night sky. After the Segerlinen supporters had stopped their ear deafining cheer, it is time for the next flagpole. Two kerbs carrying the Narconan traditional costume raises the Narconan flag, and Narconas colours are seen through fireworks in the night sky. This time both Narconan supporters and Gladian supporters eagerly cheer. It continues like this all the way to the last flag.

The World Championship of Kerbin is now offically opened. As the supporters head home they are all talking eagerly about tomorows games; archery!

"Welcome! WEEELCOME! To the worlds largest sports event, the World Championship of KERBIN! Today is the first official games between the competing nations and me Hans Krüger and my partner Magdalena Alm hopes that all suporters watching either from home or on the actual stadium is equally excited as we are, don't we Magdalena?" "Oh yes indeed, today will be a great day in kerbal sports history! First out we have the archery games going parallel with the team sports. Then we have the Segerlinen-Kahlawian hockey game, after that we have the New Arovan-MSRNH handball game. Later closing in on the evening it is Narcona versus Fisnavavaada in hockey, and last but not least we have a real nail biting game. It is Gladia versus Raxira! I am sure that the supporters will be much eager to see that game!

"Hello people! Today will be a great match between two nations who have really good relations between each other. However today they will meet each others as rivals in the first hockey game of the World Championship of Kerbin 223.5!"

The match begins.

"It is the 6th minute and the Segerlinen team goes on the offensive. Brüchter to Heinkel, Heinkel to Garhaldt. And GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!" The Segerlinen supporters stands up and cheers an ear deafining cheer that fills the entire stadium.

"Kahlawia, eager to go on the counter offensive and make a goal. Legwan gets the puck and heads towards the Segerlinen goal, he passes it to Sadeghi, Legwan, Legwan to Sadg... Oh and here comes Heinkel stealing the puck, and he imedietly goes on the offensive. He fints his way through the Kahlawian defences and... GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAL!!!!" The Segerlinen supporters once more eagerly cheers as much as they can. "The Kahlawian goal keeper does not look that happy as he yells Legwan for loosing that puck."

Two minutes later the horn sounds. "The first period is over and Segerline is in the lead. However much can change over two periods, will Segerline keep the lead or will Kahlawia make a comeback?"

"It is closing in on the last six minutes of the second period and Segerline goes on the offensive. Heinkel passes Brüchter and fints right through the Kahlawian lines. Legwan, goes on the defensive, and OUCH!! That must have hurt!" Legwan slams Brüchter into the wall and the slam echoes through out the stadium. The judge makes his way to Legwan. "And it is a yellow card for that foul tackle!"

Minutes later the horn sounds. "The second period is over, if Kahlawia is to win this they must surely step up their game."

"The Kahlawians goes on the offensive, Legwan passes to Sadeghi and Sadeghi manages to pass the Segerlinen defences. Is this a goal? Aaaand GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!!!!!" The Kahlawian supporters who had been mostly silent during the game now eagerly cheers. "Hope has been restored for the Kahlawian supporters. Being half way in the last period, will the Kahlawian team win this?"

"Both teams are now lining up to for the face off, and you can still hear the Kahlawian supporters cheering in the background. Legwan steals the puck, and passes it to Sadeghi, Sadeghi goes on the offensive." The Kahlawian in a glimmer of hope begins to cheer as Sadeghi makes his way through the Segerlinen lines. "Sadeghi passes the puck to Legwan, and Legwan goes for the shot, and... GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!!!!" The Kahlawian supporters cheers so loud that you can probably hear it from five city blocks away. "Unbelivable! Kahlawia has turned the tied, these last minutes will be very intense!"

"Legwan gets the puck, he passes it on to Sadeghi, Sadeghi to Legwan. Legwan just barely dodge a tackle by Heinkler, Legwan passes to Sadeghi and... GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!" The Kahlawia fans stands up and cheers louder than ever Sadeghi is hugged by his team mates. "Kahlawia surely turned tide on this match. Hats off to the Kahlawian team, what a great game it was!"


End result: 3-2 to Kahlawia

"After that very very exciting hockey match, it is time for handball between New Arova and MSRNH. Let's hope that this game is just as exciting as the last one!"

"Hedralygen gets the ball and passes it over to Nadgyheden. Nadgyheden dribbles past Nikaje of New Arova, and he goes for the throw. aaand... oooh, shame for the MSRNH team, the New Arovan goalkeeper just managed to take the ball."

"Nikaje gets the ball from the goalkeeper, Nikaje passes it to Goroe, Goroe passes it over to Barlie, and Barlie goes for the shot! aand GOOOAAAAAAL!!!! What a beautiful goal, Lardyhlagen had no way at all of defending that goal. That is what I call the combination of high skill and precision!" The New Arovan fans cheers loudly.

"That's the end of the first period with New Arova in the lead. See you all just after this commercial!"

"The game draws its conclusion after a tough second period with no team scoring a goal. However New Arova wins the first handball game!!"

The New Arovan fans eagerly cheers and the New Arovan flag is flying around in the grand stands.

"See you all in the next game which will be ice hockey between Fisnavavaada and Narcona."

End results: 1-0 for New Arova

"Good evening Kerbin, it's time for the second hockey game in the World Championship of Kerbin 223.5! Tonights match will be between Fisnavavaada and Narcona!"

"It is twelve minutes in and Degar takes the puck and passes it to Qivio, Qivio passes it to Nanter and Nanter goes for the shoot, and GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!" Narconan and Gladian supporters cheers fills the entire stadium. "First goal goes to Narcona!"

"Its faceoff between Degar and Arlbo. Arlbo takes the puck and passes it backwards to Mercala, Mercala passes it to Catsij, who goes on the offensive. Qivio moves in to block Catsij but Catsij passes the puck over to Arlbo, and Arlbo goes in for the shot, aaand GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAL!!! Fisnavavaada makes their first goal!" The Fisnavavaadan fans plays on drums and cheers some even taunting the Gladia-Narconan fans.

"Its the end of the first period resulting in 1-1. While not even close of being concluded, this match seems to be a pretty even match!"

"With only three minutes left, Qivio takes the puck and advances towards the Fisnavavaadan team. aand OOOOH!! What a tackle by Catsij. The judge is moving in to give Catsij the yellow card.. but wait.. OH MY!! Qivio, seemingly wanting to take care of Catsij himself beats the judge with his hockey stick! The judge is laying on the ice completely bloody.. OH shit! I think we have a fight going on, Catsij and Arlbo now both attack Qivio in a all out brawl. And here comes security!" The three players are dragged out from the rink and all three given a red card.

The horn sounds ending the second period. "Well while nothing really happened goal wise this period, that fight was a sight to behold! How will the third period end?"

"Mercala gets the puck and advances on the Narconan goal, he fints past Nanter and goes for the winning shot aaand, ooooh the Narcona blocks the goal! What a beautiful save!"

"The puck is shot to Nanter who makes a beautiful fint past Mercala and passes it Degar, Degar passes... oh wait GOAAAAAAAAL!!! What a beautiful fint, catching the goalkeeper completely off guard!" The Gladia-Narconan fans loudly cheers and this time they taunt the Fisnavavaadan team back.

The horn sounds through out the stadium and the Gladia-Narconan fans stands up and cheer. "And that is it for the third period of a very violent match between Fisnavavaada and Narcona. See you all in the clash of the titans in Gladia vs Raxira in handball!"

End results: 2-1

"Welcome welcome to tonights last game, this time Gladia vs..." The Raxiran fans yells "BUUUUUU!!" "Ehrn... Vs Raxira!!" The Gladian fans yells "BUUUUU!!"

"As you can already tell this is gonna be a very very interesting game. Let the game begin!"

"Galrix closes in on the Gladian goal and are about pass to... Ouch what a tackle by Eiden! Here comes the refferee and gives Eiden a yellow card!"

"Eiden gets the ball and throws it to Lotek, Lotek passes it over Martus and Martus goes in for the goal aaand GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAL!!!" The Gladia-Narconan fans cheers a ear deafining cheer and a mix between the Gladia-Narconan flag and the Gladian flag is flying in the grandstands.

"That's the end of the first period, and both teams are preparing to switch sides to the other half! With Gladia in the lead, will Raxira have a chance of winning this?"

"The timer is ticking down 15, 14, 13 oh and Galrix takes the ball and passes it over to Vegulem. Vegulem goes in for the shot and GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!" The Raxiran fans cheer as loud as they can and waves their flag as much as they can some even dancing on the grandstands. Some supporters of the lower rows even starts to run on the playing field to hug Vegulem and Galrix as the clock reaches 0.

"That was a very good timing for that shot indeed. From what we are hearing by the referees this will be concluded in a overtime period."

"Just into the overtime period and Lotek has the ball and passes it over to Martus, Martus passes to Eiden and GOOOOAAAAAAAAAL!!!!" The Gladia-Narconan fans cheers and is playing all kinds of instruments and singalongs for their victory songs.

"Vegulem gets the ball and passes it over to Galrix and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!! Unbeliveable! Will this end in freeshots?!" The Raxiran fans are cheering and singing, waving the Raxiran flag.

"Martus takes the ball and throws it across the field to Eiden, Eiden throws it to the left to Lotek aaand GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!" The Gladia-Narconan fans are eagerly cheering waving their flags up high and singing.

"Galrix takes the ball and passes it to Vegulem, Vegulem throws it to Raxard and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!" The Raxiran fans once more cheers as loud as they can waving their flags, singing and playing instruments.

"It looks like we are gonna have a shootout this time to determin the winner! What a great conclusion for the two great arch rivals!"

"First out is Eiden, he advances on the goal and he misses!"

"Second out is Galrix and he also advance on the goal and he also misses!"

"Lotek goes straight for the throw and oooh, what a miss!"

"Martus throws the ball and oooh, even he misses!"

"Vegulem feels confident and he throws and oooh no, even he misses, you can almost touch the tension here in the audience!"

"Now it is Raxards turn. Will he finally make the goal? He throws and no even his ball gets blocked by the goalkeeper!"

"Fazran goes straight for the attack and he also misses! What is this?! How can this be?"

"Yden goes for the goal feeling confident but this time he also misses!"

"The last Raxiran for this shootout is Nirorax, will he finally make a goal? He throws and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!" The Raxiran fans stands up hugging each other cheering and crying of joy. They all sing the Raxiran anthem and playing their drums.

"Zile of the Gladian team is feeling much pressure and throws the ball aand, ooooh he completely missed the goal the pressure must have been too much for him. But that makes a winner Raxira wins this game after shoout!" The Raxiran fans cheer and runs on the field and carries Nirorax out of the stadium un doubtly he will have a beer or two too many tonight!

End result: 4-3 to Raxira!

"It is the last minutes of the first period and Greier is advancing on the Raxiran defences, he passes the puck to Badhei, Badhei shoots, and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!! First goal goes to Camponja!" The Camponjan fans cheer loudly.

"Well thats the end of the first period and it is looking good for Camponja!"

"Ferlax steals the puck from Badhei, he passes it to Virli, Virli goes for the shot and GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!" Raxiran fans wave their flags, blowing in horns and singing songs.

"Well thats the end of the second period. It is up to both sides to try to claim victory in this period!"

"After a very uneventful period, the score still remains 1-1, the refferee has ordered a overtime period!"

"Virli takes the puck and passes it to Ferlax, OOOH what a beatiful fint Ferlax did, he is making his way through the Camponjan defences with ease, he shoots and GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!" The Raxiran fans once more cheers as the goal horn shouts.

"Virli and Ferlax passes the puck between each other, dancing through the Camponjan defences, Ferlax shoots and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!" The Raxiran fans once more cheers eagerly knowing that they won the match.

"That's the end of the match with a Raxiran victory. The Raxirans are succeeding both in handball and hockey it seeems!"

End results: 3-1 to Raxira.
