Tensions rising between CICS and Portera

"Tensions between the Confederacy of Independent Ciiropogan States and Portera have been on the rise lately. A number of border skirmishes and claims of territory by Portera have lead to souring relations between the two allies. The alliance was recently broken, and both side claims the other is at fault. As both sides ready their guns, the world must ask itself what will happen next?"

The WPRP wishes that in the interest of the people and the proletariat this be settled trough diplomatic means. There is no such thing as race, but there are Kerbals.

"This is outrageous! Our armed forces shall be mobilized effective immediately!"

The WPRP sees in this useless imperialism a menace to the safety of the People living in the region. While we still press for a diplomatic solution to the state of tension, the International Council of the Proletariat is considering to send a peacekeeping force in the area to guarantee the safety and security of the innocents.

I state here that the WPRP's position in not in favour of any of the belligerants, but that instead they should be both blamed by the international community. Our involvement will only be to avoid ethnic rivalries to turn into genocide.

The WPRP does not realize that this has been our territory since our founding. No other nations should have claims on it.. We will not attack first, either. We will defend Ciiropoga.

The WPRP does not realize that the Porterans in Vury have been opressed by the current dictatorship, and we have reports of Porterans being executed for speaking out for Porteran Unity.

The CICS is a democracy! Anyone can see that! Porterans are treated just like anybody else as well, although there may be some racism from our citizens, that is no fault of our government!

Both the the Porterans and the Ciiropogans don't realize that I wasn't suggesting it. If the well of the inhabitants of the region will be jeopardized by illogical moves of nonsensical governments, the WPRP will take action, as is in the rights of every kerbal to have a defender of their Freedoms.

I suggest you once more to settle the question with diplomatic means.

We are more than willing to be diplomatic.. The question is whether the Porterans will do the same.

If war is declared, all porterans will be deported to Portera.

How exactly are people to be deported across the border in that case, given said border would immediately become a warzone?

I renovate the proposal of a diplomatic settling to the dispute. The WPRP is willing to charter said solution as an impartial third party.

What have we done to demonstrate we cannot protect our people?

We find the WPRP's statements frankly more inflamatory and prepostorous than the CICS's.

As a neutral nation with embassies in both countries who has yet to threaten military intervention, the Republic of the Islands of Kaeprus offers itself as a second choice for mediator in this conflict. We will also welcome with open arms any Porteran inhabitants of the CICS who do not wish to be deported into a warzone should war be declared.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but earlier today the Ciiropogan ambassador answered to the the doubts of the Kabundakan government about ethnical porteran citizens crossing safely a warzone by stating that, and I quote, "HOPEFULLY the other side would have the dignity to allow their own people to cross unscathed."

Now, even without being a politician, I'll recognize in those words a distrust for the lives of your own People, being them of whatever ethnicity. And by the look of it, nothing makes me think that the Porteran side is more kind in that respect.

So again, will you settle this down pacifically, without any nations worrying about the safety of your people, or you really want to start a foolish war under the eyes of the international community?

Portera would like the WPRP to back down from intervening in our conflict.

At the same time, we want to guarantee that Portera will not mistreat its own, or foolishly give away the lives of its citizens, or even of the CICS.

I stated the WPRP's position, and I won't back from it. I gave you a peaceful alternative to this foolish confrontation, but apparently the both of you aren't interested in saving your own People's lives.

Portera would like to inquire if this position is unanimous in the WPRP.

When the WPRP makes a statement, it has been approved and is following the interest of the entire International Labour Council. So, the statements we give as a collective under the WPRP banner is what everyone or the vast majority supports.

Would we be a more palatable third-party for negotiations?
