Provisional government installed in Aquitae

After the dust from the choppers and the tanks settles in, The WPRP forces start their processes to bring the nation back to the normality.

First of all, the higher governmental officials that didn't run away to hide in their cellars between their barrels of expensive wine are contacted and brought to the Senate building, some more willing than others. There, they are faced by an HR Section Lieutenat Colonel, that, after a brief speech about the duties of a politician to his people, informs them that they had been chosen to be the Provisional Aquitan Government, whose main duty was to organize free elections for a new democratic government. The officials, after an initial disbelief, start to understand what the officer is telling them and, before midday, they are in the recently vacated offices, spoiled of all the valuable objects by the rats abandoning the ship, making lists of possible candidates, examining circumscription overviews and figuring them as the new Prime Minister.

Then, the second act of the WPRP forces is to bring selected journalists and printers to their workplaces, to make special editions of their publications to outline the details of the future elections to the People, and to print enough posters to plaster the country several times with the news. This also meant a slight relaxing of the curfew, to give people the possibility to safely get out for a couple of hours just before midday and reach the distribution points set up by the WPRP forces to collect their daily meal and eventually needed medications, free of charge, offered in name of the Internationalist Friendship.

Thirdly, the WPRP air forces and navies continue carrying on their no-fly zone and naval blockade duties, intimating avery ship or plane directed to or departing from Aquitae to turn back. Luckily everyone is following the requests, otherwise they'll face dire consequences in the form of the use of force to stop them.

The Provisional government of Aquitae, under the direction of the military commander of the occupying forces, has now begun the process of electing a new government. The old six provinces will remain, and each will be assigned two seats in the new parliament. The elections for the newly created position of Prime Minister, whom will function as the head of a government which he will appoint, are open to everyone. However, after the early polls weed out the vast majority, the Segerlian intelligence agency has been ordered to secretly run background checks on all contenders. Any found to have right-wing ideologies or sympathies with the old government or the rebels are to be disqualified immediately on the grounds that they are to be investigated for collaborating with the enemy.
