Glarus Air Force Publicly Demonstrates new Aircraft!
Experts hail a new age of aviation.
Zetzwil, Glarus Confederation

Today, Commander Palmiro Eugène gave a public demonstration of the new air superiority fighter GFA-162. It is one of the first jets to be placed into operational status and is powered by one SVH-04 Engine producing 50KN of thrust. Tests were also conducting showing the aircraft reaching Mach 0.7 or 856kph! Engineers claim that the aircraft has a range of 1100km which is significantly less then conventional propeller designs. It is also equipped with 2x cannons.

It has been decided to re-equip the 1st Fighter Wing with these new aircraft in the role of intercepting potential enemy bombers.

Glarus Aircraft Breaks Sound Barrier!
First manned aircraft to go faster then the Speed of Sound.
Zetzwil, Glarus Confederation

Today, a team of engineers from the University of Zetzwil as well as test pilot Captain Évrard Emilio has broken the speed barrier, achieving Mach 1.02 in steady level flight. The GFX-1A is powered by a single air-breathing jet engine which is a further development of the SVH-04 engine that currently powers the GFA-162. The aircraft was designed to be as streamlined as possible such as incorporating tail-less design and swept wings. We are certain that there will be more achievements in the field of aeronautics worldwide.

Glarus Launches Rocket!
The beginning of the Glarus Space Board
Zetzwil, Glarus Confederation

Today, marks the first rocket launch by the Glarus Confederation at the Sulzbach Space Centre located in the province of Muotathal. The rocket was recently purchased by the Glarus Space Board from the Kutan Empire. It was necessary to test flight operations at the new space centre as well as to test all the equipment that was designed to monitor space flights to avoid any errors for future flights. A small sub-orbital satellite was launched onboard the Munya 1000 rocket, it was destroyed upon re-entry.

Berehynia Communications Array Launched
The GBC now broadcasting to over 16 countries!
Zetzwil, Glarus Confederation

Today, the Sulzbach Space Centre had completed the launch of the Berehynia Communications Array designed to relay TV signals as well radio messages around the world. Costing a staggering 27MK, it will pave the way for a larger satellite constellation in the future.

The Kobold rocket demonstrated the ability to carry at least 4 satellites into Kerbin Stationary Orbit and was proven satisfactory. The Berehynia Satellites are equipped with one large satellite dish, as well as four smaller omni-direction antennas to allow for inter-vessel and Kerbin communication. The Glarus Space Board's next planned launch is the maiden space flight of the GFX-1C program, likely becoming the vessel that will send the first Glarus Pilot into space.

GFX-1B Flight Disaster!
Search begins in Wakiran Ocean for Wreckage
Zetzwil, Glarus Confederation

Today, tragedy marks the GFX-1B program as the spacecraft had accidentally re-entered too early during it's launch, ending up somewhere within the Wakiran Ocean. The Pilot's condition is unknown.

The GFX-1B demonstrated the ability to fly past Mach 7 and managed to fly into low-orbit making Capt. Sambree the first Glarusian in space. 20 minutes into the flight, communications were lost and the spacecraft was tracked by Berehynia to have begun re-entry.

The GFX-1C is supposed to be the successor to the GFX-1B spacecraft. It is currently undergoing extensive checks by the Glarus Federal Bureau of Transportation.

GFX-1C Completes Operational Flight Testing
Has begun delivering satellites into orbit
Zetzwil, Glarus Confederation

The Glarus Federal Bureau of Transportation has deemed the spacecraft to be fit for active service and has allowed the spacecraft to begin delivering and recovering payloads to and from orbit. A serial production has begun after initial successes with the design. The spacecraft has the ability to deliver 7 ton payloads into orbit as it continues to expand the Berehynia communication array.

Officials has announced plans to construct orbital structures for the intent of keeping astronauts in orbit for long periods of time. Given the logistical capability that now exists, the plan has gained traction as being more feasible recently by engineers and scientists in the Glarus Confederation.
