Unity Conference

After the initial political riots concerning the elections, it seemed inevitable that a Civil War between the Socialists and Communists v.s the Moderates and the Fascists would occur. However, this was not to be. As the Capital was being fortified by the Nationalist Forces (Moderates + Fascists), several fast planes jetted themselves on the radar. The Nationalists opened fire, believing they were military aircraft confiscated by the Red Republic forces. Upon further investigation though, it was indicated that there was impossible, as the Venatorian Military never had aircraft that could approach those speeds. The impending Civil War led to the representatives of the Fascist and Moderate parties to unanimously vote for Dubnyk Kane as President of the remaining Venatorian provinces that were not communist.

When President Kane learned of the foreign operation, he called upon the leaders of the newly formed Red Republic to meet in a small town on the border. There Kane, a charismatic Kerb, told the Red Republicans about the encounter they had with foreign aircraft. He showed them specific evidence to support his claim, and at the end, it seemed they were convinced, there was a foreign threat to Venatoria. Kane told them that if they did not stop this petty war, that they would all succumb to foreigners who wanted to take advantage of the current situations. He also promised the communists concessions, such as a full fourth of the seats in the Congress of the Republic, which is the same amount the fascists would receive. Another promise was made to the communists, no arrests would take place of high profile Red Republic leaders. These concessions and the threat of foreign attack caused both the Nationalists and the Red Republicans to cave in and disarm themselves. The short lived Civil War in Venatoria, has come to an end.

Still in the conference hall, President Kane receives a direct phone call from the Ministry of Intelligence.

"We've got several more doing individual missions over Venatoria, we recommend and immediate evacuation. Standard procedure engaged."
"That won't be necessary"
The President hangs up

Various MP units approach the President, attempting to move him somewhere safer. The President remarks

"Relax, they can only kill me with a golden bullet"
He then turns to the remaining communist representatives, just as they were about to leave.
"Do not worry gentlemen, we shall have Peace in Our Time"
The crowd claps, and then leaves.

The Conference is adjourned, and the communists soon return to their provinces, they are expected to not cause any trouble. However, this can not be guaranteed.
