Kabundakan state visit to Terripani

Crowds cheer and music plays as the destroyer Parañaque sidles into Terripani's military dock.  A fanfare rings out as the gangway deploys, and a suited delegation steps onto the island.

Terripanan sailors unfold a large banner from the side of the TDC Vanity. The message simply says "Greetings!". The crew salutes the neighbouring craft. On the docks, the Terripanan Army is present, in formation. They too salute, as a large limousine, escorted by two black half-tracked vehicles rolls up in front of them. Security guards leave their escorts first - one opens the door of the limousine, and the President exits. He greets the guests to his nation with a handshake.

"Welcome to Terripana! I believe we have much to discuss."

The president clicks his fingers, and another limousine drives forward, also escorted by two halftracks.

"Please, step in. Drinks are ready at the palace."

We thank you for the warm welcome Mr. President, but we'd rather get down to business immediately. I trust you're aware of the purpose of our visit?

The President shakes his head. "I'm afraid I have no idea. The Vanity spotted your ship approaching from the horizon, that's the only thing I know: would you care to fill in the blanks?"

We are here to propose a deal. We will protect your nation from any attack, and in return we only ask you not allow any other nation to station military units or installations here.

"That sounds like a fair deal. I believe a treaty is in order? If you set up a small embassy here, we can send one to you when it is written."
