As this reaches public ears the Colonial Kyux Navy and Airforce is currently patrolling our waters, any armed vessel that does not respond with proper security codes will be sunk, only nations with theese codes are:
TheUKK
The Kabundakan Federation
All normal ships will be left untouched.
Special permissions for temporary passage can be negotiated, send a message to Kya himself.

With recent outbreaks of war we wish to protect ourselves from any surprise attacks. This is not a "blockade" as any un armed ships pass freely. If for example you want to move your navy trough our waters a negotiation will be held. (Involving no costs).

The Democratic Republic of Segerline has two very important trade routes through that area. We want to make it perfectly clear that we will take any incidents that results in loss of trade very seriously.

We found this action of your government a blatant attack on open seas policies and treaties. We don't recgnise your closure of those sea lanes, and we claim our right to move freely in our waters, from on side of the Empire to the other.

If you actually paid attention, you'd notice your interests are completely free to pass through the areas between the zones. They don't cover the entire sound, and therefore permits your vessels passage in the areas not covered.

By having to travel four times the actual distance, and having to plan every single insignificant ship movement as a major logistic involvement. The Kyuxian exclusion zone encompass the international water route between Nadirjia and the mainland, and we are not going to accept this fact.

Then you will risk your ships being fired upon, will cause a war, and kill thousands in the process all because of a few extra days of planning you're too lazy to undertake?

That is an act of war. You killed innocents. You must suffer in turn.

The crew of a warship that deliberately invaded another nation's territory are hardly innocents.

No treaty has never recognized that water as anyones territory. Kyux did wrong to engage that warship.

We encourage both sides to step down all provcations against each other, so we can sort this out at the peace conference in Segerline.

Is this a declaration of war? Or just spooky words? You do realize we gave him 3 warnings before sinking him, it was a armed Kahlawian destroyer.

This treaty hasn't been ratified nor signed by basically any foreign powers.

Does your nation have agreements with others as regards the extent of it's territorial waters?

We haven't claimed any territorial waters, however we guard the coast of our nation, but ships are free to sail there unless we are at war or if they try to unlawfully disembark on our lands.

We have no legal rights to claim that water, just like Kyux don't. Or in another perspective, we have as much right to claim the most active sealane and destory any warship there, as Kyux does. In other words, none.

So any warships can come as close as they wish to your nation, without rebuke, as long as they don't land?

It had no violent intentions. You killed dozens of innocent sailors.

Yeah, or as long as they dont attack any Segerlinen shipping there or any violent intentions towards us. We might have increased preparedness after the Rikuto attacks, but you are in all your rights to move there, as it is recognized international waters untill a treaty of some sort says otherwise.

It was invading national territory. That is very much violent intention. Would you have allowed the Rikutam ships to approach until they fired?

We also don't recall signing any treaty that said the land you claim actually belongs to you. What right do you have to lay claim to recognised international land?

That treaty was signed by those who we took it from, and is recognized as such. Just like the lands that Rikuto took is now their lands. If someoneone however took land that was owned by noone, then we would not recognize it.
