Narconan Missile Strikes In Raxira

Late that evening...

Ten missile trucks, carrying long-range semi-ballistic missiles, drove towards an open field with a Narconan military escort. They set up, and began firing preparations. At sundown, the missiles began streaking off, one after the other. The trucks then drive back towards civilization.

In the nation of Raxira...

In Helirix, three missiles streak down from the sky. The first to detonate hits square downtown, and detonates, spreading napalm through the streets. People in the streets are caught in the inferno, and at street level, the buildings catch fire on the interior. The second, somewhat nearby, detonates a single 3,000 lbs explosive after a direct impact with the side of an office building. Nearly the entire side's glass shatters from the explosives, as does nearby buildings. Some inside the building are killed by the shockwave, and the building sustains some damage. The third missile detonates over downtown, splitting into multiple mini bomblets that spread and drift down into the city. Due to the large area the bomblets cover, serious damage is sustained by the civilians below, and the buildings sustain minor damage.

In Raxiran, the first missile to streak from the sky fails to detonate, and plows straight into a park in the middle of the city, squashing a kerbal underneath. The next three all hit nearby, killing about 50 each inside the buildings they hit, causing lots of damage to the buildings. Two more missiles streak in, but fail to separate their bomblets, and detonate mid-air, providing a fireworks show.

In total, about 1650 civilians die, and about 15 million kerbits of damage are sustained by the buildings alone, with firefighters battling the blaze long into the night and the next day.

The Fisnavavaadian government is appalled by this attack on innocent civilians, and no longer supports the Gladian-Narconan cause.

Raxiran is working over time to rebuild the homes of these poor civilian and begin build ABM's to help protect our people more effectively.

The Union of Segerline highly condemns these attacks on innocent civilians. We want to make it clear that our soldiers are sent to defend Gladia; not conduct genocide. If we get one more report of purposly targeting civilians, then Segerline will pull out from this war.

We do agree, if this happens one more time we will pull back our help

We now see that both sides are at fault in this conflict. May there be shame upon both of your nations.

This is complete madness. Targeting innocent civilian population without being provoked has put the Narcono-Gladia at the same level of the Raxiran aggressors.

We did this to show what toll this war will take and make them reconsider it to save lives.  In Raxira we also intended to strike government buildings, and in Helirix target troops and military hardware stationed there. These missiles were intended for precision striking of military targets, and that is what they will be used for.

We find this interesting, especially that you should have no idea where our military hardware was, or whether our diplomats even still used these buildings. If so why is it I have suffered only civilian casualties. (OOC: At least I think it is only civilian, I haven't seen a list telling me a lost any units so it will just assume)

We attempted to target garrisons that we received news of, and in your capitol we attempted to target your palace, or whatever you call it in a democracy.

A Likely Story

Gladia also condems this action of our Narconan partner.
I see to it that there are no more unneeded civilian casualties.

So many civilians died in pain.. so many burnt.. We condemn actions of Narcona and Raxira as theyre both killing innocents. The history will remember this war.

Considering the fact the Napalm and Cluster munitions failed in their most populous city, we see no need for such dramatization. If this event was taken appropriatley and Raxira called off their offensive that day, many more lives would be saved both now and in the future.

Cluster ammunition, which by its very nature hits a spread out area, is used by you as useful for a precision strike.

To compensate for changes in the missile's trajectory and incase the military equiment we were targeting were not indoors.

Of course, your targeting methods of tying a Kerbal on the missile and pulling the strings must work fabulously. How equal are you anyway, with dictators rolling in Kerbits and your workers in "paradise" overworked to feed their starving families?

No matter how much you, Narcona, try to cover up what you did and find petty excuses for how it happened, civilians still needlessly died. This war must come to an abrupt end.

We did this for that exact reason. More civilians will die in this war, and we hoped that this would jar them into calling off the offensive and saving more lives.
