Segerlinen Coup Empty Segerlinen Coup

Discontent was running through the lower classes in Segerline. The revolutionaries in the civil war had promised freedom and wealth for everybody, however the reality was far from the vision. With such a weak government, social classes emerged all around the country. Segerlinen had become a capitalist paradise with its close to non existant tax laws, and the capitalists oppressed the lower classes. In every city, there was a few high wealth neighbourhoods, but about 90-95% of the country was slums. Overpoluted cities, with dirty streets and a people who hadn't seen the sun in many months due to the heavy smog. Many children didn't attend school because they had to work in the factories just to make enough money for the family to survive.

Segerline had become a backwards country. It still struggles behind most nations in terms of technological, industrial and economic growth. The literacy levels was a nightmare, unemployment was high among many people which lead to starvation, those who was lucky enough to get a job recieved almost no pay. People who couldn't stand working in the factories had since long fled to the country side to build their own farm. However, capitalist landlords had already bought the land, so the farmers had to pay incredibly high taxes to even be allowed to work the soil there. A time of radical change was in place, once and for all, the promises of the revolution would be fullfilled.

It was a cold winter night as the first revolutionaries made the final preperation for the coup. Many Heimwehr soldiers entered their local armouries and took what weapons they needed. People started lighting torches and prepared their march into the major cities of Segerline. They sang patriotic revolutionary songs as they marched in neat formations to the city square, while in the background Heimwehr soldiers started to raid upper class neighbourhoods. Factory bosses, bankers, store owners, merchants, landlords and even spiritual leaders got woken up in the middle of the night by a big bang on their door as the Heimwehr soldiers stormed their homes.

The capitalist class were beaten on the streets by workers and heimwehr soldiers. Some of the wealthiest capitalists got executed in front of a big crowd in the city squares, and the rest got sent off on trucks into prisons.

The government, not really knowing what to do sent in the Unionswehr. A small skirmish errupted, leaving governmental troops dead on the ground. Heimwehr soldiers stormed the local parliaments and killed everyone inside. The Union of Segerline was declared dead, and out from the ashes rose the Syndicalist Republic of Segerline.

More on this as the situation develops.

This alarms Narcona.  Will we have another bloodbath of the Sergerlinen Revolution? And will this one end up as the first revolution, with Big Brother and thougth crime?
