W24 Warhead test

At Bardeman test range in the Segerlinen tundra, more activity was present than usual. A test facility that had been rumored to test the Segerlinen chemical weapons before, was now under more preperations where mock up houses was placed around the facility and big signs marking out the range from a ground zero was placed in the ground. The entire area was sealed off by military personel although it was far away from civilization.

Dr. Steiner the head of the Segerlinen nuclear programme did the last survey of the area together with his military escorts and advisors.

"Are the preperations complete?" He asks one of the scientists at site.

"Yes Doctor Steiner, all preperations are made, and the first W24 Nuclear Warhead is ready to detonate at your mark."

"Very well, tell the troops to put on protective glasses and head for the observation trench. We'll have the detonation in one hour."

"Yes doctor, consider it done."

As the soldiers sit and wait in their trench, all with protective eye wear on. The sirens sound around the facility.

"Alert all personel, alert all personel! Nuclear detonation in 10 minutes. Leave the target area immedietly or else it will result in immediet death."

All engineers waits eagerly for the count down, some even have prepared champagne to celebrate the detonation.

"Fünf, Vier, Drei, Zwei, Einz, FEUER!"

The nuclear weapon detonates in a ear deafening roar, with tremendous heat reaching the observation zone. Buildings shatter and are turned to ashes in the immediet target zone, further out there is many ruins in the area. All animals trapped in cages either dies from being incinerated or by the blast wave, with some lucky survivors further out whom only get severe radiation sickness later on.



The fireball had a radius of 290 meters. All buldings were turned to rubble in a 20.7 square kilometer area, and all animals in a 36.4 square kilometer area suffered from atleast third degree burns.

The soldiers cheered and swelled with pride as they felt special for being picked out as the only soldiers in Segerline observing a nuclear explosion from close up. The scientists celebrated with champagne and quickly got to work of analyzing the results later. The Segerlinen anthem was playing in the loudspeakers.

Segerline had entered a new era of mutually assured destruction.

The pictures of the explosion was shown to the world as a proof of Segerlinen nuclear capabilities.

We see not why Segerline needs to advertise their ability to vanquish life while they insist on disbanding them.

As nations seek to not disband their weapons but to limit their use, we will not fall behind the curve.
