New Arovan Elections

Hello and welcome to Radio New Arova, Tonight we will be discussing the upcoming elections.

But first, lets review the New Arovan election system. New Arova uses the Mixed-member Proportional Representation system or MMP. MMP works by giving citizens two votes. One for the parliamentary representative of their local area (rural area, village or city) and another for their preferred political party. The percentage of the party vote a party gets determines how many extra members of parliament it can have.

Now lets look at the current political Parties.

1. Eco-Socialism Party or E-SOC.
Location on the political spectrum: Left.
Current polls support: 30%
The E-SOC party follows the principles of Environmentalism and Socialism. They opposed the creation of a space program which led to their split from the New Arova First Party. They are also more open to foreign interests and the preservation on New Arova's native species.

2. New Arova First or NAF.
Location on the political spectrum: center.
Current polls support: 30%
The NAF are Nationalistic and are against immigration, However most of their support comes from their isolationism and independence policies, Previously they had been in a close alliance with E-SOC but after a dispute about fudning a space program they split, but are still maintaining a coalition.

3. Conservatives New Arova or CNA.
Location on the political spectrum: far-right.
Current polls support: 15%
CNA are aligned with the political far right and has recently undergone a major leadership crisis after the previous party leader was arrested for fraud  and tax evasion. It is rumored that they are trying to get support from Narcona-Gladia. They are against the New Arovan Anarchist party and some of its supporters are wanted on charges of assault and political fraud because of their actions against members of the New Arovan Anarchist party.

4. The New Arovan Anarchist Party or NAAP.
Location on the political spectrum: far-left.
Current polls support: 20%
NAAP are aligned to the political far left and was formed when the international confederation of workers was established. They are against the CNA and are rumored to be trying to get support from sergerline and other anarchist nations. Like the CNA several members are wanted by the police for violent crimes against the opposing party.

Other Minor Parties:
Independants - 4%
McKerman Serious Party - Joke Party - 1%

Elections will take place in several days

As expected. Why do people need to vote for anarchy when if they want it, they simply can destroy the government? Both should still be illegal.

Narcona will support both the NAF and the CNA, however, the CNA's corruption is a major issue.

But it does not make much sense, the government allowing people to vote for their own collapse.  Regardless, we will make sure to keep good relations with our neighbor despite our differences.  And about Narcona, our Empire enjoys many different trains of thought.  Many people in Narcona support Environmental Programs, as a nation's lands are there their before it's flag.

Who on earth is a nation openly supporting political parties in another, sovereign, nation? Dont you have enough issues as it is?

Because you have no interest in meddling with that state? Their politics are their politics.

Erm, we are saying that we support and like those two party's motives. Same thing that the Anarchists have done.

The Anarchists are not a government with an obvious conflict of interest! Surely you can see your error?
