The Federal Syndicalist Republic of Segerline

The Union of Segerline is an Syndicalist Federal Repbulic in South Western Kerbin. It rests upon the Kaledonian Archipelago, just south of the Red Sun Empire.

History: The lands now known as Segerline, was first inhabited 5000 years ago. By then, the land was connected by a series of landbridges, which let the first kerbals migrate to the Segerline islands. The islands was divided into small communities, all with their different ideals and ambitions. It wasn't untill 500 years ago, that the islands was finally united under one flag. Frederich von Auschlich became the first emperor of Segerline. The Empire entered a golden age, with the expansion of the merchant navy and newly found natural resources. Life was good for the ordinary Segerlinen untill 150 years ago. A great recession struck the empire. The stock market collapsed, and the empire was plunged into chaos. The bankers tried to save themselves, and the emperor still lived a good life. The working class didn't take long untill they realised that this situation will not get any better for them.

The working class staged a revolution one year after the stock market collapse. It became known as the striker revolution. One day, all the major factories started a strike and threw the Segerline economy over the cliff, and shortly after the emperor abdicated. It became a successfull revolution without bloodshed, and a Anarcho-Syndicalist political system was put in place. The people was free, and everyone was striving towards a utopia. It was a good 100 years, and it became to be known as one of the best times in Segerline history to the outside world. However, some counter revolutionaries was gaining public support by the former ruling class in Segerline, and a attempt to a coup was put in place. However the chief of the army whom's name is "Günther Aldenheisen" took the law into his own hands, he declared a state of martial law and crushed the coup.

However, he had no intentions to restore Segerline to the Anarcho-Syndicalist ideals. He was now the most powerful man in the country, with a army that adored him. He made himself supreme chancelor of Segerline, and started a political party called "Segerlinische Arbeider Partei". It was the only political party in Segerline, and only those who was loyal to Günther were allowed to take a active role in the party. The country became a police state and all ideals of the revolution was lost.

Another revolution took recently place in Segerline which aimed to restore a similar system to what was before the S.A.P era. It succeeded and the people is finally free once again, with their freedom secured, what challenges will they overcome in this hostile world?

Peace now reigns in Segerline after a peace agreement was made with the Raxirans. In exchange, a 4 year long non-agression pact was also signed.
