Like all Native American cultures, the Huron migrated across from Asia during the iceage. They migrated slightly south and began following the herds around the great lakes. Eventually they started to settle down into small fishing villages on the great lakes. They also began to farm, and stopped their nomadic lifestyle altogether by the time the great conqueror took power.
In around the year 1090, a man who's name has been forgotten by history, and now only known to the people as "The Great One" took his tribe one step further than the others in the area. He introduced a new idea to the natives: Territory. He was the first native to realize that a tribe can command the surrounding resources of a city, and not let the other nations have them. With this idea in mind, he conquered the surrounding tribes, and put them under a sort of vassalage system. Eventually this developed into a feudal like system, with the king ruling over lords, and lords ruling over cities.
This system allowed the natives to work together to conquer even more tribes, and develop relatively advanced technology for having no exposure to the Europeans. By the 1600s, when the Europeans started to arrive via traders, they admired the massive kingdom that the natives had built up here. They traded with them regularly, and by the year 1700, the musket was in widespread use across the military. Trading continues to this day, now the only question is to see if the natives will be able to handle industrialization...

Economic Type: A state governed economy similar to State Capitalism. All types of labor (hunting, farming, artisanship, etc.) are controlled and organized by one of the three states.

History
Religion
According to Salish folklore, men were one of the first animals to inhabit the world, and there are spirits for every living being in the world. Tribal tales are used to explain every aspect of life ranging to how the Sun was born to how tobacco was discovered. Salish Folklore is the religion for 90% of the confederacy. Due to Mittelamerikan exposure, 10% of the population follow Christianity.
Claim Justification
The eastern border is the Cascades. My nation is along the coast because the other side of the Cascade Mountain host a complete different cultural ethnicity of Native Americans (Pacific Northwest vs Plateau cultures). I searched for the three largest native tribes and then placed cities accordingly.

History
- history:
Pre-Columbian
Little is known about the origins of the tribes that compose the Cascadian confederacy. Their ancestors were believed to have migrated over the Bering Land Bridge and settled in the Pacific Northwest, along the western side of the Cascade Mountains and along the Pacific Coast, approximately 4500 BC. Over time the region began to be dominated by tribes of Salish descent and ethnicity. These tribes lived as fishers and hunter gatherers, up until the 1000s, where new ideologies were introduced via the long lost Anasazi civilization in the Southwest. Although agriculture was already common in the Cascade region, it was not on the grand scale as shown by the Anasazi. This agricultural revolution led the tribes to settle down and form grand cities, encouraging the growth of specialized talents like artisans. By the 1400's estimates range to almost 30% of the Native American population living n the Pacific Northwest.
Post-Columbian and Unification of Tribes
However, with smallpox being brought over by European explorers in Central America during the early 16th Century, most Native American civilizations--including the Anasazi--die out. Due to their isolation, damage was kept to a bare minimum: the Salish-speaking tribes in the Cascades only lose roughly 80% of their population. After the population becomes largely immune, the population grows again and by 1550 there are approximately 1 million Native Americans in the Pacific Northwest. After much warfare, three major tribes emerged: the Chinook, along the Shocatilcum (now called Columbia) River Valley; the Quinault, along the coast of the Salish Sea; and the Kwakiutl, along the Lower Mainland. In 1589 the Quinalt tribe leader Kiyiya persuaded the then-warring tribes to unite as the Salish League of the Cascades (Cascadian Confederacy). Over the next century, the population rises but technology still stagnates at the Iron Age.
Westernization
In 1646, a strange ship entered the Salish Sea. Much larger than any Cascadian whaling or fishing vessels, it quickly became a target of interest and landed in Quinault, the largest city. This vessel was a Mittelamerikan light ship. During it's cartographic expedition around California, a storm seperated the flagship from the rest of the Mittelamerikan vessels. Led by the explorer Franz Grundmann, the crew of 80 quickly became stars in the Salish League. The Grand Council held an enormous feast in their honor. The Cascadians became quick to adopt the ideas and technology of the Mittelamerikan sailors, many learning German, converting to Christianity, and birthing blue-eyed children. The Mittelamerikan crew left as heroes in 1692, with a hefty bounty of rare furs to trade with back home. With Mittelamerikan technology available, the Salish league modernized over the next century. Gunpowder weaponry were in the hands of all Cascadian warriors by the 1720s, which allowed the Confederacy to further expanded their lands. In 1753 a reverse-engineered corvette was adopted as the first military naval vessel. As the 19th Century dawns, will the Cascadian Confederacy successfully industrialize and rise to the internatinal scene as Europe narrows in on colonizing, or will they collapse like their many other tribal counterparts?

Move the point where they get the technology back another century or so and it'll be good. You don't just reform everything in fifty years.

History:
- Spoiler:
- In 1392, King Taejo established the Joseon dynasty on the ruins of the former Kingdom of Goryeo. After a power struggle between his sons later in life, Taejo abdicated the throne and was succeeded by his second son, Yi Bang-gwa. The power struggle continued under the rule of Gang-gwa, and out of fear of his many enemies, he allowed his brother Gang-won to ascend to the throne. During his reign, Gang-won consolidated his power and established Joseon as an absolute monarchy. Gang-won's policies led to Joseon attacking the Manchus in the north and the Japanese pirates on the coastline, as well as abolished the aristocracy's ability to field private armies. Gang-won abdicated in 1418 to his son Sejong, but would continue to influence Joseon until his death in 1422.
Under Sejong's rule, Joseon flourished, with the creation of a written alphabet, Hangul, large advances in science and technology, and the promotion of literature. Sejong was also an effective military leader, expanding Joseon's territory to the north, as well as invading Daemado Island in 1419 to clear it of Japanese pirates. Determined to end the pirate raids for good, Sejong annexed the island to the displeasure of the Japanese. Years later, Sejong's eldest son took the throne upon Sejong's death, but died two years later from illness.
With his death, his 12 year old son became the sixth king of Joseon, but was quickly overthrown in a coup and forced to abdicate by his uncle Sejo in 1455. Sejo began building up military forces on Daemado Island and when war broke out on mainland Japan in 1467, he launched an invasion of Kyushu. With the Japanese occupied by internal conflict, Korean forces quickly swept through Kyushu, driving out the Japanese and occupying the island. For over a century, Korean control of Kyushu went unchallenged, but in 1592 Japanese warlords attempted to drive the Koreans out of Japan, but were driven back by the use of Turtle ships and Hwach'a artillery. Afterwards, a treaty was brokered that ended the conflict.
In 1603, Christianity was introduced into Joseon when a diplomat returned from abroad with books written by a missionary. Christians were subject to harsh persecution at first, but gradually tolerance for them spread through Joseon. In 1608, Gwanghaegun became the king of Joseon and restored diplomatic relations with the Japanese. Gwanghaegun brought radical changes to the kingdom, legalizing the practice of Christianity and ending slavery. His policies created many strong allies, but at the same time alienated many conservative members of the government. In 1623, several conservative members of the government launched a coup that overthrew Gwanghaegun, but a swift military intervention defeated them and restored Gwanghaegun to power.
For the next century, Joseon enjoyed peace in the region and maintained friendly relations with many of its neighboring states. During these years of peace, Christianity began to spread through Joseon, resulting in a large Catholic community alongside the more traditional Confucians. King Jeongjo took the throne in 1776 and has ruled Joseon since.
