Prototype Ship Development System
(I'll be posting class-by-class in order for you to give feedback so that I may adapt them to what you guys want.)
There is an age-old saying: "He who controls the sea, controls the world". This however, is not possible if your foes have high-tech missile cruisers and you have outdated destroyers. Upgrading your navy is now necessary, with new ships being unveiled and constructed frequently - now you too can join in with the destruction.
First you must choose the type of ship you wish to outfit. They are as follows;
Now you have chosen your vessel, it is time to personalise it. Most additions depend on what base you have chosen, however some may overlap.

Upgrading your navy is now necessary, with new ships being unveiled and constructed frequently - now you too can join in with the destruction.
First you must choose the type of ship you wish to outfit. They are as follows;
- Ship Classes:
- Base Design:
- Aircraft Carrier,
- Amphibious Warfare Vessel,
- Cruiser,
- Destroyer,
- Frigate,
- Corvette,
- Large Patrol Vessel,
- Mine Warfare Vessel.
- Aircraft Carrier,
Now you have chosen your vessel, it is time to personalise it. Most additions depend on what base you have chosen, however some may overlap.
- Aircraft Carrier:
- Carrier Configurations:
- CATOBAR - Catapult Assisted Takeoff But Arrested-Recovery. Carriers fitted with a CATOBAR system may carry the largest, most powerful and heaviest aircraft in the arsenal of the nation's air force. This system is highly expensive, but can be essential to eliminating the enemy air force. Costs 15 PP.
- Helicopter Carrier - These carriers may carry helicopters. As the aircraft they carry are lighter and smaller than regular aircraft, they are much smaller than their usual counterparts - this however comes at the cost of a limited defence. Costs 8 PP.
- STOVL - Short Take-Off and Vertical Landing. STOVL carriers are usually the smallest of carriers, with only Helicopter Carriers or Amphibious Assault Crafts being generally equal in size. Unlike Helicopter Carriers, STOVL carriers are equipped with a short take-off runway, therefore enabling it to carry STOVL and VTOL aircraft. Alike the STOBAR carrier, these too are used for superiority and defensive roles. Costs 10 PP.
- STOBAR - Short Take-Off but Arrested-Recovery. These carriers transport fixed-wing aircraft, but are smaller than CATOBAR carriers; they are designed for air superiority and defensive roles, compared to the CATOBAR, which is used for a more offensive status. Costs 8 PP.
Carrier Size:- Regular Size - CATOBARs may carry 5 Squadrons of any Aircraft. Helicopter Carriers, STOVLs and STOBARs may carry 3 Squadrons of their specific Aircraft. Costs no extra PP.
- Supercarrier - Increases the capacity of CATOBARs by 5. Increases the capacity of Helicopter Carriers, STOVLs and STOBARs by 2. Costs 5 PP.
Propulsion System:- Diesel Engines / Gas Turbines - These engines are slow but cheap. They also make the ship harder to manoeuvre. Costs no extra PP.
- Nuclear Engines - These engines required refined uranium in order to operate, however they may power much larger crafts. These engines are needed in order to propel CATOBARs and CATOBAR Supercarriers. Costs 5 PP.
Weapons / Defense Systems:- Anti-Aircraft Weapons System - These systems are used to intercept and destroy a target, before the target hits the ship. Costs no extra PP.
- Electronic Warfare Suite - These systems use chaff and infrared decoys in order to intercept incoming missiles or laser guided bombs. Costs 2 PP.
- CIWS - Close-in Weapon Systems are used to destroy incoming missiles. Unlike AMW Systems, these consist of guns rather than missiles. Costs 2 PP.

Dude this practically scraps everything in the current Navy system which I really like. Can we just have the things to add onto the individual navy MP Units?

It doesn't scrap anything. It's like the other two systems - you can customise units at a cost, or you can build the traditional ones like always.

But it sounds a bit complicated/weird (probably cuz I'm really stupid), like how do we use/whatever with all these new boats that don't really affect/see any conflict?
If I sound weird, I'm sick from eating Chinese food.

The same way you would use the regular, non-customised ships.

Okay. Will they be implemented in the MP system, and how will the bonuses work?Yuriski wrote:

As I said, the same way the aircraft and the tank systems will work.

Excellent work Yuri, but one part needs re-wording: not even carriers with catapaults can carry the biggest aircraft in a navy. You couldn't put a B-52 on a Nimitz, so I suggest you just change that to "they can carry larger aircraft."
