Raxira battle deux
I have a hard time believing that 8000 soldiers just walked right into a minefield and didn't realize it until 8000 were dead and 100 tanks were destroyed. Should have stopped at 100, 200 deaths. That much is absolutley ridiculous.

No, it isn't. Due to the placement of the mines, they had marched halfway into it before setting even one off. Then as they began to panic, they started setting even more off.

Add to that it wasnt a single regiments being devestated but the casualties were divided over various regiments, acumiliating in the casualties depicted.

I think there is something called, and bear with me now because it is kinda controversial. A mine sweeper it is used when you realise that you are in a minefield.

I'm pretty damn sure if mines are blowing up over the damn place then any self-respecting person would realize and go back the way they came. The tanks I can understand, but 8000 men? Thats 8000 more highly trained personnel, mind you, in the military. 2000 more died than on my littile attack on dragon. If it was just spread out, than why don't you tell me that I consolodated my regiments and found out only 2000 or whatever died, not 8000 men in for units obliterated.

How do you want to remember the way you came? Youre stressed, panicked and have quite some adrenaline, you wont be able to.

I can't argue with something that doesn't make sense.cziken20 wrote:How do you want to remember the way you came? Youre stressed, panicked and have quite some adrenaline, you wont be able to.
Look up the Saar Offensive. Must have been 30000 men marching through a mined area, and they stopped once the mines went off and withdrew. They lost 2000 men in that entire offensive. You must think my soldiers are vegetables to walk right into a damn minefield. It is ridiculous to loose the equivalent of 4 9/11s or so to a minefield.

Warrior, your soldiers where not expecting a minefield, when things started to blow up they probably thought it was artillery and ran for cover.

You would have seen or heard the gunshots. Either way, 8000 is ridiculous. I can understand damage of those units, loosing some men, but 8000 men being wiped out? No. Just consolodate the widespread losses into one regiment that will be wiped.

I'll broke my silence because this is too much to bear.
A mise is as easily mistaken by an artillery shot as much as a fox terrier is mistaken for the Mariana Trench.
It's not like they see something blowing up and they think by default "Arty, get a frakkin cover!!" and run further into the minefield. A mine has not nearly as much explosive power as an arty shell, does not explode in the same way and, mainly, does not fall from the sky with a prolonged "TIUUUWW" preannouncing its arrival.

I guess I'll scrap my army, just making a giant minefield both at land and sea seems to do the trick. I mean, highly trained soldiers doesn't seem to grasp the concept of a minefield or what to do when in it. #Noonewilleverconquerme.

Regardless of the current issue - which is of course being reviewed - Id like to ask you all to, in the future, instead of making a thread about an issue sending a PM about the problem at hand. Because honestly this rabbling isnt helping anyone, and as I said were already dealing with the issue.

Re: Raxira battle deux
I would like to remind everyone this is the first time a mine field has been used effectively in this RP, so what I was meant when I said they didn't expect it, I meant they didn't know what to do at all, mine fields have never problem for you before now, so why would your soldiers know everything about them.Warriorbulb wrote:You would have seen or heard the gunshots. Because landmines aren't exactly a "space-laser-of-death-level-of-secrecy" thing.
