Rikutan Military Parade

The national anthem of Rikuto plays as members of the 100th "Ayu's Lights" Reconnaissance Regiment march down the streets of Otemach, followed by the rest of the 2nd Hatamoto Airborne Corps. In celebration of the toppling of the Shogun, as well as the tenth anniversary of the War of the Towada Islands, the Rikutan Armed Forces are participating in the largest military parade the country has seen in years. Leading the parade are the special forces group who led the raid on the Imperial Palace, as well as naval officers who served against the Narconans. The head of the armed forces, General Rokuro Yuki is seeking to show the country the consolidation of the Home Guards into the standard army. This, along with the division of the Grand Fleet into smaller Task Forces and the renaming of Task Force Narcona are some of the many changes occurring in the Rikutan Armed Forces now that the Shogun is no longer in power. In other news, the transitional government released a statement shortly before the parade, announcing to hold elections before the end of the year.
