Everyone is just randomly claiming colonies all over the world. We should probably stop doing that, for the reasons that it doesn't do anything and causes border gore. It's also not feasible in any way to have a ton of mainland cities that are nowhere near each other when all the unclaimed land is run by barbaric warlords. Your colonies would probably be overrun in a matter of days.

I figured if I didn't take them, someone else would, and then where would we be? Besides, they're trading posts, not colonies. And anyways, at least mine aren't a continent away from my actual nation.

So trading posts on same continent = good, not on same continet = bad, but colnoies on same = bad, not on same = good? I find this weird.

No, random mainland cities don't make much sense in my opinion, especially when /not/ anywhere near your actual nation. Random trading posts also would not make sense to have from the start nowhere near your nation. If people build the country's history around their colonies or trade posts or whatever, it's fine by me. I'm just worried that people are sticking down claims of a single pixel on the other side of the world because everyone else is doing it.

I'm now incorporating Delta and Boris' drafts onto the map; Delta, are you sure you want those tiny islands well to the east of the rest of your nation? Trade posts don't make much sense when there's nobody there to even trade with.

I'd prefer to hold onto them; there's somebody's colony over near there, at least, and the Wakirian has people.
