We for one does not support this treaty, if a hypothetical colony was established on another planet, would they not own the area they lived upon?

Thats a topic we wanted to discuss. We suggest that if a self-sustaining colony is established then the owner can claim the territory.

I understand you cant claim a celestial body, but if you actively do business of a part of it you should own it.

It would claim an area but it can't claim an entire body.

The Glorious Empire of Fisnavavaada will sign as it stands.

We find ridicolous that you want to legiferate on those matters at this stage of space exploration. For what we know, Munar colonies would maye require the usage of zones of up to 50 km for their survival.

We ask that this treaty will discuss only matters related to LKO objects for the moment, with new articles to be discussed and added as our knowledge progress.

Still, we find equally ridicolous the absence of some reference to the property rights in space.

Narcona has a question.  If in the far future we do colonize objects in the cosmos, should, if the object is under a certain size, a nation with 10 or more colonists on it be able to claim it as their's?  If, say, Narcona sent a group of colonist on an asteroid of a certain size, say 50 meters, could we claim it?

This issue will be discussed when the moment arrives.
