Segerlinen Space Administration

The Segerlinen Space Administration was opened the year 222.0.0 following the Kortugan calendar. Segerline hadn't focused much of anything on space due to its unfortunate past which lead to the undesire by the leaders or those with wealth to go to space. However following the coup, the SSA was announced to the people. No more would Segerline be dependent on foreign satellites for its every day needs, it would lead the world into the depths of space.

Following the announcement of the SSA, the SSA soon got to work towards their grand plans. There were three programmes put to the table for the SSA and one launch vehicle to their fleet.

The Flieger programme would focus on understanding orbital manouvers and test new launch vehicles. The Schwatzen programme would focus on putting communications satellites into orbit, and finally the Reisen programme would focus on the navigational aspect of the space agency.

A launch vehicle was also announced and would be called the Arbeiter launch vehicle. It is designed to send smaller satellite payloads to around a 350ish km orbit around kerbin.

The S.S.A can happily announce the beginning of a more enviromentally friendly programme of sorts. We will launch a series of Kerbin monitoring satellites that will track deforestation and exploitation of resources. The same images can also be used theoretically by urban planners to get better cities and a better overview of their development.

In a massive project to expand our space capabilities. The S.S.A together with the S.S.D has pulled their resources to highly expand the our space center with four new launch pads. Another KerSat is also being built to finish the KerSat Constellation.

The head of the S.S.A today announced the first S.S.A manned mission. While Bardeman had on a joint Kahlawian-Segerlinen space mission, reached space before. It was time for Segerline to actually send their kerbals to space on their own without foreign help. Ten kerbals has been taken out for Kosmonaut training to be the first to bring glory to the fatherland.

Producing Arbeiter Launch Vehicle for 7.5 PP 18.55 27th of October

The Arbeiter Launch Vehicle has been standing on the assembly building for too long, and now it is finally time after all turmoil to send the first Segerlinen Launched Kerb to space. The construction of the crewed payload was under way as the factory worked around the clock to get it done. It also started the construction of a second Launch Vehicle for the next mission.

Construction of MK 1 command pod + MK16 parachute for 3 PP finished 13.40 23rd of November

Development of the Minmus III Launcher for 176.4 PP (double speed) finished 26th of November 06.30 Swedish time.

The Minmus III launch vehicles production is way under way. While it is designed to take really heavy payload into space, it can also be used to take several lighter satellites or even entire constellations into space if there is enough room. There are currently four constellations that are considered to be launched and produced.

SATCOM: A communications satellite network that will make Segerline independent from foreign communications satellites.

KENASY: KErbin NAvigational SYstem is a Segerlinen navigational system that will be used by armed forces and civilians alike. It will provide accurate data on your location and will not be turned off from civilian use during wartime. There will be four user stages in the satellite system itself. Civilian use will be the least accurate but still very accurate, no fees are needed to be paid. Commercial use will cost a small fee per year and will have a better accuracy than a civilian version. The military version costs 4 MK and will be more accurate than the commercial version. Then there is the Segerlinen version which only the armed forces of Segerlinen may use. It is the most accurate version that the satellite can allow.

MIDESAT: Nature and purpose classified, will be revealed at a later date. Licenses may or may not be sold in the future.

FORESAT: Completely classified.

The first satellite to be produced is FORESAT-1 which will be launched in the test mission with the new Minmus III launcher.
