Speech of the leader of Ciiropoga Empty Speech of the leader of Ciiropoga

Wind howls across the square, where a large number of citizens have gathered around a podium. Flags line the capital building, made out of red marble, a resource rare and found almost exclusively in Cirropoga.. A man walks through the line of people, and begins to shout,

"Make way for the president!"

Four men follow him, shouting the same thing as they go bye. A man finally walks in, escorted by five bodyguards, and steps up to the podium.

"Hello, hello, welcome everyone. 'Tis a cold day as usual, hmm? Before I begin, let us rise for the national anthem of our nation."
Spoiler:

The crowd sings along, right hands held over their left arm in a fist. The traditional salute of the nation.. They then clap for the anthem and the president.

"Thank you, thank you.. No need for applause. I'm here on a very quick and tidy speech, don't expect to be here too long.. Alright. First on the list, let me welcome all of you to the international scale. We accidentally stumbled upon some other nation which apparently ceases to exist now, but it gave us knowledge of the outside world. Now that we're on the international stage, we must show the world we aren't to be trifled with. First, we shall industrialize the nation to peak efficiency. We're going to need all of our private owners to help us with this.. If you do, we'll pay you a small sum. Secondly, I will be conducting diplomacy throughout the world with other leaders soon enough. I'll be sure to get us all some good alliances that will protect us in the face of danger. Third, our military must be modernized, as currently our feeble propeller planes and clunky old fuel guzzling tanks aren't simply enough to compete. Military spending will be increased, unfortunately. It is for our own good. And finally, we shall begin a space program as soon as possible. Not only will it gain us prestige on the global scale, but it will also allow scientific and military advances needed to catch up with the other nations. Thank you for your time, fellow citizens. Have a good day."

The man exits the square silently.
