Resource System Empty Resource System

Since we're going to add a trading system in, why not bring in a resource system too? We could base it off the old system from multiple years ago.

IIRC, that system had multiple pockets of multiple resources randomly scattered across the world, and there would only be two or three for each kind of resource. It could include stuff like oil, titanium, diamonds, coal, and even ivory. They don't have to include benefits and could just be purely for RPing, to add a new perspective to the roleplay other than space and nuclear wars.

Well, not exactly like the old system. Here's what I suggest:

There's 15 or so special resources. Examples:

1-Diamonds
2-Oil
3-Coal
4-Natural Gas
5-Titanium
6-Gold
7-Silver
8-Copper
9-Rare Kerbin Elements
10-Silicon
11-Ivory
12-Silk
13-Pearls
14-Whales
15-Exotic food? (maybe you're the only part of the world that has bananas)

As you can see, I kinda got stretched for ideas at the end.

So, each nation will have one of these, but it isn't for the applicant to choose. Instead, a mod will go to random.org and see which number between 1 and 15 is chosen.

I'm going to try that now.
Alphaland: 8 - Copper
Bravoland: 14 - Whales
Charlieland: 12 - Silk
Deltaland: 14 - Whales
Echoland: 14 - Whales
Foxtrotland: 6 - Gold
Golfland: 14 - Whales
Hotelland: 1 - Diamonds
Indigoland: 9 - Rare Kerbin Elements

It appears in this scenario, Kerbin has enough whales for everyone to have a little sprinkled on top of their breakfast cereal. Every country that doesn't have whales could probably use their resource to buy enough whales to feed their population for a decade.

If you want to harvest your resource, you need to spend 15 PP doing so. Then, you make 1 unit of it a week. You're free to trade if however you want.

That makes this fall under "needless complexity", which has always been an instant denial.
Literally nothing at all right now stops you from saying "my nation has lots of cheese, do you want some?"
