The People's Liberated Republic of Terripana NtpOrNM

The People's Liberated Republic of Terripana is a small island nation east of Fisnavavaada. A nation filled with military parades on national holidays and patriotic music playing through loudspeakers in the collectives.

History

Founded as a colony by Aayla Kyux, the Republic of Terripana was originally a small mining town. The natural resources found on the island made it the prime candidate for economical expansion: it's first major export was iron. The first city to be founded on the island, Geldgrube (literally meaning 'Money Pit' in Kyuxan) was only a minor port, however it's economy was almost as large as entire nation's at the time. The Kyuxans were gaining huge profits from the island, due to it's high tax rate - 75% of the export profits were to go straight to the Kyuxan national bank. Certain rebellious organisations did not like the thought of such a tax, and a petition was put forward to the governor of the island in order to boycott it. The Kyuxan military was called upon to restore order to the island, and eliminate the rebel contacts, however this was to no avail. The revolutionaries blockaded the trading vessels at the ports, therefore diminishing the massive economical capacities of Aayla Kyux. Moreover, the war between Aayla Kyux and The Empire of Kahlawia distracted the most of the Kyuxan military from the island, leading to a political revolution in Geldgrube. The Governor was announced the unofficial President of Terripana, and he drafted up the first document which led to the independence of the island: The Terripana Constitution. Seeing that they could no longer hold onto the island for much longer, halfway through the war with Kahlawia, the island was recognised as it's own, independent nation. Geldgrube was re-branded Terripana, after the governor who gave the island it's freedom, Juanito Terripana.

During the modern era, with a population of 30,000 and growing, Terripana was under rule of President Esteban Romero and his Son, Heir and Vice-President Nicodemo Romero. The Terripanan Military began modernizing, and new mines were being built to exploit the land of it's natural riches. Eventually, the citizens and military of Terripana became sick of their dictator overlords, and the Romero family was executed. Esteban was shot down in Terripanan Airspace after returning from a conference, and his son was also killed when the Terripanan Army stormed the Palace - he was shot dead after he pulled out a pistol and killed a young Cabo Primero, Santiago Jimenez. Over 284 members of staff were arrested; 12 injured; 5 killed in a firefight with military forces. 2 members of the Terripanan Army were also killed.

After the downfall of Esteban Romero, the first Terripanan elections were held. Currently in power is Presidente Amancio Sanchez, leader of the Progressive Party.

Years after the elections, the facist regime was officially toppled by gangsters, however some distant voices speak of the odd fact that Segerlinen forces were quick to seize adminastrative buildings and propose the one and only alternative. Today Terripana is a Syndicalist regime lead by the ruthless dictator Alejandro people. Civilian and military parades are now common place in Terripana and people opposing the regime and Segerline tend to have bad luck on the roads. Alot of road accidents lately don't you think? I also heard someone drowned, how tragic...

We seen naught why you dislike us, as we have no hostile interests against Terripania and think it is tragic for such a proud people to fall as a puppet nation.

Your targeting of innocent civillians is a disgrace to the civilized world. No more words needs to be spoken. We are not puppets, we are a independent people that has found the freedom in Karmemanism.

That was 3 years ago with intent of stopping a war that has claimed millions. That has nothing to do with our relations with you.

That war has hardly claimed the lives of millions. Besides killing innocent civilians won't stop a war just like that. You are just a oppresive dictatorship that cares nothing about civilian life or value.

Yes, of course. Spout your master's propaganda. The world and truth must be so clear with your head stuck up your rectum.

Such a mature way for a governmental representative to speak. Now get out of here!

I am affraid we must decline. We haven't really established any relations with you prior to this, going all the way to a treaty of friendship right away would be foolish. Let's start from the bottom and set up a embassy?
